Are hybrid cars worth it?

• Greater fuel economy: one of main perks of going hybrid is their efficient fuel usage – as hybrids contain both an internal combustion engine and am electric motor. In fact, hybrids tend to use 30% less fuel per mile than conventional cars. If you live in a city and often drive less than 30 miles each trip, owning a hybrid will most likely be beneficial to you. • Less tax: hybrid cars registered before 2017 are eligible for free road tax if they emit less than 100/km CO2. However, the new tax rules state that hybrid cars are no longer exempt from road tax and, instead, are eligible for reductions on the amount of tax they pay.
• Hybrids hold value: due to their low running costs and high levels of reliability, hybrid cars are high in demand on the used car market.
