The electric vehicle smart action plan is a partnership between the government and Ofgem (Office of Gas and Electricity Markets) that outlines the steps that will be taken to provide affordable, green power by delivering energy flexibility from electric vehicle charging.

The action plan sets out to deliver energy flexibility from electric vehicles and to ensure the system is prepared to respond in time to the upsurge in energy demand. Ofgem and the Government will look to eliminate the blocks that currently prevent the full development of a competitive and diverse smart charging market.
