Top Marks for Training
Tuesday 17th January 2012
Our Formula One Autocentres training centre is celebrating after being accredited to carry out IMI (Institute of Motor Industry) certificate training in F-Gas Handling. This certificate qualifies employees to carry out air conditioning servicing, such as Air Con Re-gas and cleaning.
We were also approved to undertake ATA (Automotive Technician Accreditation) training. This replaces NVQ as the officially recognized training scheme in our industry.
But that's not all !!!
The institute was so impressed with the training passports, lesson plans and presentations we use in our induction that they have offered to apply the IMI awards stamp to the courses we run. This includes our Geometry course, which from now on will also be officially endorsed by the IMI.
Altogether, this means that as well as training our own employees, Formula One Autocentres can now charge outside candidates to attend our courses with the aim of achieving an IMI and/or ATA qualification.
Keith Lee, Training Manager at Wigston announced: "This is great news, and a real breakthrough for Formula One - so well done, and a huge thank you to everyone involved!"
