Formula One Autocentres offer a Master Service and a Short Service to meet the various needs of motorists.

We recommend that the Master Service is completed every 12,000 miles or every 12 months and the Short Service is completed every 6,000 miles or every 6 months.

Most car owners service their car every 12 months or 12,000 miles - whichever comes sooner. Servicing proactively maintains your car, reducing the risk of a breakdown. Even if it is irregular, servicing can help maintain your car's value.

All Formula One Autocentres' servicing is carried out by fully trained technicians using only parts that match the quality of the manufacturer's original equipment. We'll Stamp your service logbook too, to ensure that your vehicle's service history is maintained.

  1. Check steering for pull / vibration / travel
  1. Check clutch for slip / judder
  1. Check brakes for pull / judder

  1. Check exterior lights operation
  1. Check seat belts (excluding any child seats if fitted and report)
  1. Check wipers condition and operation
  1. Check front washer operation and top up (Master Service - adjust washer jets if required)
  1. Check rear washer and wiper for condition and operation
  1. Check condition and tension of fan / aux. belt where visible
  1. Check instrument panel for warning lights and report
  1. Check / top up power steering reservoir (if applicable)

  1. Check and report Wheel Alignment or Geometry
  1. Check steering gaiters, joints and dust covers
  1. Check propshaft, suspension joints and grease nipples where fitted
  1. Check wheel bearings for excessive play or noise
  1. Check inner and outer driveshaft gaiters
  1. Check tyres size, condition, tread depth, and fitment included spare
  1. Check clutch operation and top up fluid if applicable
  1. Check shock absorbers and spring condition (where visible)
  1. Check all road wheels for correct balance (including spare)
  1. Check and adjust tyre pressures (including spare)
  1. Check condition of brake pads and shoes
  1. Check condition of brake discs and drums
  1. Check condition of wheel cylinders, calipers and adjusters
  1. Check handbrake linkages
  1. Check exhaust system
  1. Check any items reported by customer
Service Tasks
  1. Replace engine oil and engine oil filter
  1. Replace air filter
  1. Check coolant level and top up if required
  1. Check brake fluid level and top up if required
  1. Check anti-freeze strength MIN -20
  1. Check battery condition and grease terminals if accessible
  1. Lubricate accessible door hinges
  1. Lubricate bonnet catch
SCHEDULED SERVICE TASKS
  1. Check for timing belt replacement interval and report if due according to mileage or age
  1. Check for Pollen Filter replacement interval and report if due according to mileage or age
  1. Report if Spark Plugs are due to be changed according to mileage or age
  1. Reset vehicle service light where applicable / subject to data and tooling availability

  • Dealing with F1 autocentres was a really good experience from a customer point of view. Initially dealt with Shannon from pricing/stock. She was more than helpul. On the day of fitment I dealt with the guys at the Leeds branch, no faffing about or trying to sell any extras. Was told an hour for 4 tyres, was done in 45 mins. I'll definitley back with my other car when needed.
